Search and collect.
Unlike stock image services that are organized around arbitrary editorial categories, the Visual Symbols Library is organized around what designers really need. For over ten years we've been watching and learning from the ways designers search for images. We've put that understanding to work and built search functionality that tags images for descriptions, concepts, and associations.
For example, an image of a scale would be tagged with keywords like antique, old fashioned, weight, weighing, brass, metal, collectible, wooden stand, measurement, and measure. It would also be tagged with conceptual and associative keywords like balance, judgment, Libra, and zodiac.
In addition, images are gathered into conceptually themed collections with names like Infomedia or Metaphorically Speaking.
Subscribe to purchase images for a fraction of what the big guys charge.
Purchase of royalty-free images from the Visual Symbols Library is conducted on a subscription basis. A subscription allows you to download a certain number of images per year for a flat fee. All the images in the Visual Symbols Library are royalty-free, so you can use them again and again in any way you want. And unlike the big stock houses, the Visual Symbols Library provides images at one low price for all resolutions and all usage rights. Prices for single images range from $14 to $20 depending on your subscription plan.
We offer three subscription options:
Standard | 15 downloads a year
$299.95 (about $20 per image)
Silver | 30 downloads a year
$499.95 (about $16 per image)
Gold| 70 downloads a year
$999.95 (about $14 per image)
Create.
When it comes to developing project concepts, the Library helps by providing access to one of the world's leading collections of iconographic stock photography. Our "picture dictionary" style is built on the idea that crisp, archetypal imagery is an essential tool for meeting day-to-day design challenges. The images are professionally styled and art directed by the team responsible for popular images like Desk Bell, Indi the Wonder Dog, and The Internet Guy. All images are created with multiple uses in mind and shot on a seamless white background to allow for maximum sharpness, contrast, and versatility.
In addition, helpful usage notes describing an image's historical and cultural context accompany many files. Click
